Please attach a file with such MathType equation and a screenshot, which shows
the wrong rendering.

MathType integrals in OOo Writer
I'm unable to repro, but there are from time to time issues with symbols in
equations. If the OP will write us at support@dessci.com, with a screen shot
and a sample ODT document showing the issue, we'll be glad to help.
