PPT - Color Scheme

Hi everyone,
I've searched the list but didn't find any information on this point.

I'd like to generate a ppt file with shaded text boxes (which color changes with
the theme used).

I found how I can specify two colors and get the resulting ppt to display the
expected result. However when I change the theme of the ppt in power point,
these boxes remain with the colors that were specified (which makes sense).

Is there a way to specify not a specific color but a color index instead?
So that changing the theme (design) in power point would update these text boxes
too?

And was I clear in describing my problem?
