Is there any way to debug the compiler?

Hi! I am new in Hive,
and I would like to know who can I debug a query,
I am interesting in analyze the compiler,

who hive create the plan tree?
Where read the plan generated (Class, method)?
Is there information/documentation about it?
Which is the class and method that initializes the compile process?
What are the class implicated?
Is there any way to debug the compiler?
