[jira] [Created] (ARROW-1443) [Java] Bug on ArrowBuf.setBytes with unsliced ByteBuffers

Gonzalo Ortiz created ARROW-1443:
------------------------------------

             Summary: [Java] Bug on ArrowBuf.setBytes with unsliced ByteBuffers
                 Key: ARROW-1443
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/ARROW-1443
             Project: Apache Arrow
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: Java - Memory
    Affects Versions: 0.6.0
            Reporter: Gonzalo Ortiz

There is a small bug on ArrowBuf at line 750. It says:
{code}
udle.setBytes(index + offset, buf);
{code}

But it should say:
{code}
udle.setBytes(index + offset, newBuf);
{code}

There is a wraparound: You can call the method with the already sliced buffer.
