[users@httpd] 2.0.44 slow startup

I'm running:
Apache/2.0.44 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.0.44 OpenSSL/0.9.6 mod_jk/1.2.2
On a redhat 6.x system.  After I upgraded from 2.0.43 suddenly the server takes 3 minutes 
to start up.  Does anyone know why?
