[jira] Resolved: (JAMES-434) NPE on empty sender and AUTHenticated
user
Stefano Bagnara resolved JAMES-434:
-----------------------------------
Fix Version: 2.4.0
Resolution: Fixed
Marking this as fixed. Return a 503 error if a null sender is used.
If we think that it is better to handle null senders from authenticated networks we should open a new issue.

> Project: James
> Type: Bug

> Priority: Minor
> Fix For: 2.3.0, 2.4.0

> If an AUTHenticated user try to send a message with an empty sender james throws an NullPointerException.
> I've created a test for this but I don't know what the best behaviour is:
> should we simply return a 503 5.7.1 Incorrect Authentication for Specified Email Address ?
> or should we allow empty senders for AUTHenticated users?
