Developer Sync (12/1/25) Summary
Hello everyone,
Going forward we will be sending out summaries of the developer syncs as we
understand the time may not work for everyone. The goal is keep the
community up to date with progress and tasks looking for contributors.
Just a reminder, the sync is every other Monday and you can add the meeting
invite to your calendar by visiting the Community page

Progress Updates:
1. Delta Kernel - the new source that uses Delta Kernel will be landed this
week. This is a big step towards removing the dependency on Spark for Delta
Lake. Thank you Vaibhav for driving this to the finish line.
Tasks looking for developers:
1. Incremental support for the Paimon Source

2. Column stats support for the Paimon Source

3. Handle partition types for the Paimon Source
