Sites running mod_perl changes

I made some changes to sites.html. I was wondering if you liked it like I
did it (add short bold text summarizing how that organization is using
mod_perl).
http://users.skynet.be/pereinar/mod-perl/outstanding/sites.html

Tell me what you think (and Stas can go ahead and commit it if it's ok).

Agreed. I'll cut down on the bold, and try to organize these things a
little more, then submit it.

I like the way Per Einar presented the sites running mod_perl.

I agree with Thomas, that it's probably better to make only the titles
bold (not the names and company names). Always have a minimal use of
bold for the better effect.

It's a tough call how to merge success stories and sites running
mod_perl. Unless you have better ideas, I suggest that we

1) present first Per Einar's rewrite of sites running mod_perl. So it
gives an idea how mod_perl can be used. This page should be maintained
actively, so the dead sites are removed and replaced with new ones. We
probably have more than one site for each of the categories designed by
Per Einar. So we should present just a few in each category.

2) present second the list of long stories, so people can read the
success stories, in no particular order. These are just testimonies, so
I don't think there is a need for some order here.

3) present third the rest of the sites running mod_perl, since people
will continue reporting: "my service is running mod_perl" and we should
include that info. That's the raw material for perfecting item (1) and
those interested can still read these references as well.

By presenting first, second and third, I meant the order in the index.html.

Thanks a lot Thomas, that was one point I forgot to talk about.

Yes, I wanted to do that too, for the longer ones. However, some entries
are too short to appear as success stories. I consider success stories to
be some information about deployment, the results it gave, etc, as opposed
to just a small entry about what the company does and that it just uses
mod_perl.

It looks better than the old version, as it is more concise, but on the
other hand there is too much bold text (name of project plus the author
results to 4 or 5 bold word in a row (sometimes)).

What about merging the info in this document with all those success stories?

There are some redundanties already (e.g. imdb.com), and I like the design
of the success stories (a list of links to a page for each story) better
than the long row of sites/stories, seperated only by a paragraph (and some
bold text, as in your new version). But if we merge (I'm feeling like some
multinational exec, talking about mergers all the time ...), we should
change the design and content of the success stories and remove all those
email-specific stuff (fixed font, quoted mails..)

I personally do not understand why one item is a success story and one a
site running mod_perl ... Don't know about the rest of you, though...
