Unable to connect to TripIt with OAuth
--------------------------------------
Key: SHINDIG-1039
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SHINDIG-1039
Project: Shindig
Issue Type: Bug
Components: Java
Affects Versions: trunk, 1.0.0-rc1
Reporter: Richard Wallace
I'm trying to create a gadget that authenticates with OAuth and pulls data from TripIt. The problem I'm running into is that the TripIt request token URL uses https with only SSLv3
<http://groups.google.com/group/api_tripit/msg/8865bd90803e4668>. This results in a lovely "javax.net.ssl.SSLException: Received fatal alert: bad_record_mac" when trying to get the request token because Java only uses TLS (by default) when making https connections.
