Request: Problem with Http proxy server

Hi All,
I am new to Jmeter. I have problem in recording with Jmeter.
I have followed the steps to record a test mentioned in jmeter user manual.
But I am getting some connect refused exception, java run proxy error after changing the settings in Internet explorer to local host and port 9090.
(i.e., the application is not getting opened)
Port 9090 is configured in Http proxy server.
The above problem comes with internet applications.

The intranet application is getting opened after changing the settings in Internet explorer, but nothing is getting recorded in jmeter.

Kindly help in resolving this issue.
  Thanks,
  Aparna..

Hi,
I am a new baby on this JMeter, so might be i am wrong, but you can try to
solve your problem this way:-
It might be you haven't configured your application port no in JMeter, If
you are setting http request default for Thread group, then you need to put
the right port no, Protocol and server name.
eg,
if your application listens at port no 8080 and it is in Localhost
then set Http request deafault as
Protocol: http
server name or IP: Localhost
path: (Blank)
portnumber:8080

i am able to run my applicatio above way, but it is not recoding hthe things
according to expectation, so i am looking into this. It might be i can be
worng, but keep trying as we all do.

Cheers,
-Vibhuti
