What's up with JavaDoc viewer in 24 (possibly earlier?)

Typical use case I think:

1. Have dependency
2. Download JavaDoc
3. Expect resolution in code (but doesn't work... maybe a separate
     email)
4. Right-click dependency, select view JavaDoc
5. Browser opens to 127.0.0.1:8082 .... (see below)
6. HTTP 500 from Tomcat 9.0.71

NetBeans 24 (Java 23 Apple Silicon (M3)
Project, Java 23

Any encounters of a similar kind? I would attach logs for the "Internal
Webserver" but I can't find them anywhere. Only see that it starts in
the IDE log.

I had a quick try - created a Maven project, added a dependency
(apache commons CSV just because it's one I'd used before), and
downloaded the Javadoc.
When I right-clicked and selected "View Javadoc" a browser window
opened as I would have expected.
This is on both NB 23 and 24, with OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM 23+37, Windows 11.
Maybe it is a Mac-specific issue?
Pete

I've opened https://github.com/apache/netbeans/issues/8128 for resolution.

Thanks!

Changed the pom property to RELEASE230 (one should use a pom property,
one change, one build, done).

Works as expected. Validated your findings. I'll open the GitHub issue.

Thanks for the quick reply and help!

Nothing wrong with the Javadoc viewer aspect as far as I can tell. On
the other hand, the platform RELEASE240 Javadoc artefacts appear to be
broken - no index file or files for any of the classes.

Can you double check with RELEASE230 and make sure that works for you?

If it's just RELEASE240, can you open an issue on GitHub? This should
be a high priority requirement for RELEASE250.

Many thanks,

Neil
