CXF plugin in Eclipse and STP - all-in-one package
Hello all,
I was trying to get CXF plugins inside Eclipse Europa 3.3.x by following the
instructions
http://cwiki.apache.org/CXF20DOC/cxfeclipseplugininstructions.html here .
But the link for the all-in-one-package plugins leads to nothing. I know
it's more of an Eclipse question but I even have few problems getting CXF
set up in Eclipse Europa. The only reason I could see is I don't find the
right documentation/tutorial. I even tried looking older ports here but
those issues seem to persist still.
Before trying CXF I was on Axis2 and it had good documentation. Even though
I have come across many for CXF nothing seems to be convincing to me. So, is
there anything that I can rely totally on?
Thanks.

I hope you've seen Oisin's response. But in case you haven't, definitely
check out his blog:

You can download/install the preview versions that should hopefully help you.

Excellent. That makes things very easy.
I don't understand why was CXF binded with STP.
I wish it more to be like Axis2 plugins - easy to install and independent. I
really had no problem in getting them set up in my Eclipse Europa (WTP).
I would look at the videos now.
Thanks.

PART of the problem is that the STP stuff is kind of being deprecated and
replaced with additional functionality/plugins into the WTP stuff.
You can see some videos of how this will work:
http://open.iona.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=1220&tstart=0#1220
I'm not sure of the status of getting that code pushed back into eclipse.
However, any feedback you have for them would be great.
