This has been finally resolved :) by following JIRAs:
a) GERONIMODEVTOOLS-278 (Model framework for G deployment plans - Change from existing EMF to JAXB)
b) GERONIMODEVTOOLS-312 (Reimplement fixGeronimo*Schema() functions inside GeronimRuntime classes using JAXB).
