[Issue 124688] Installation of 4.1.0 RC3 over previous 4.0.1 removes icon of desktop link

Hm...

My past experiences regarding the desktop icons with RC2 and especially with
RC3 in the last days are different. As far as I remember on all my
installations of RC2/RC3 the 4.0.1 had been removed from the desktop and a
4.1.0 has been created.
