how to clean table data before one week ago?

hi,maillist:
       i try to clean hbase table data before one week ,by setting column
family TTL to 86400*7 ,but it seems no use,any other way can clean data
automatically?

Was there major compaction within the period of your observation ?
How long was the period of your observation ?

Which version of hbase are you using ?
