PDFBOX-289 - DocumentCatalog doesn't have a Pages entry

Hello, 

 

I'm experiencing the same issue as described in this defect:
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/PDFBOX-289. Anyone familiar with a
workaround or have some suggestions?
