Attached is the type mapping among Hive date type, Parquet, and HAWQ data type. 

Through investigation, there are some data types in Hive we can directly convert to HAWQ. But there are still some data types can not be mapped to HAWQ, which means that our scope for Hive file register is smaller than the HAWQ data types.
