[GitHub] [jmeter] vlsi opened a new issue, #5981: If and while controllers: add UI for common patters like variable (equal, not equal, greater, less, ...) value
vlsi opened a new issue, #5981:
URL: https://github.com/apache/jmeter/issues/5981
### Use case
Currently, the UI for if controller is hard to use, and it requires resorting to jexl or javascript even for trivial checks.
### Possible solution
Add UI that would contain 3 fields: variable name, operation (==, !=, <, >, starts with, ends with, matches regex) , operand
Then IF and WHILE controllers would be more accessible, and JMeter would be able to use optimized implementation (e.g. it would be able to compile the regex once per testplan)
