Displaying graphics with XSP

Hello all,

This question will seem to you maybe easy, but it has been annoying
me for
too much time and I'm also a beginner with all these technologies.
Well, in fact, I would like to display pictures according to an external
event. This event could be the time or a counter managed by a simple Java
program.
The tag "img" exists and works but only outside the "xsp" part. I tried to
generate the tag by several way. For example, by using the "xsl:element"
tag..nothing happened.
When I try to embed some tags in the "xsp" part, there is no difference...it
does not care about them. It's the same thing for "tr" or "td" tags. I saw
an example about embedding of these tags, but it doesn't work.
My question has a bigger issue. For example, my xml file could contain a
list of products (description, picture and so one). My goal woud be to
display a product (description, picture and so one) according to the time
for example, or according to an other external event.
Thx...
