Can I change slide`s public interface

Hi

I am trying to modify slide`s original public interface which we use the
port 8080 to connect to. I need that interface to provide download option
for users , not just show the actual file when the user clicks on the file
link in the listing . Did anybody tried this before, if somebody did what is
the easiestway to modify those jsp files.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you very much
