There are some scripts that assume there will be at least some entries in 
ASF::Committee.preload
and
ASF::Group.preload

for example:
public_ldap_groups.rb
public_ldap_committees.rb

Since the replacement ou=projects group will contain podlings as well, it's probably not sufficient to do a simple replacement.
