You can send a parameter {{\_charset\_=utf-8}} when you upload the files. That should have the same effect as adjusting the default parameter encoding. I can't remember at the moment why the default parameter encoding is not set to UTF-8 by default. -I suspect it has to do with- This is due to backwards compatibility. Both the parameter and the configuration are documented in the [request parameter handling documentation|https://sling.apache.org/documentation/the-sling-engine/request-parameters.html#character-encoding-1]

I would be inclined to close this issue "Not a problem" or "Invalid", unless you have a suggestion what should be fixed.
