[jira] [Comment Edited] (BIGTOP-709) Add Apache Ambari to Apache Bigtop

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/BIGTOP-709?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13988020#comment-13988020 ]

jay vyas edited comment on BIGTOP-709 at 5/2/14 6:03 PM:
---------------------------------------------------------

1) How do you suggest we test ambari packaging inside of bigtop, given that ambari's deployment strategy is diffferent than bigtop's?

2) Will ambari based deployment of hadoop use any bigtop bits, if so which ones?

(also recopying brunos questions here):

3) Will ambari packaging work on centos/fedora/deb/ubuntu/suse/opensuse

4) kind of intersting question, to know if an instance of ambari on deb manage a cluster under another OS. but curious why [~bmahe] was asking that?
