ASP installation does not work.

Hi,
i tried to install apache::ASP but Apache still ignores asp requests.
On the site/eg/index.html I only get this output in my browser:

#!/usr/bin/perl /usr/bin/asp-perl
[0]%>>   ([0]%>>source)

(perl and asp-perl are there)

I use following Versions:
- Apache 1.3.26
- php 4.1.2 (DSO)
- mod_perl 1.27 (DSO)
- Apache::ASP 2.37

Apache runs w/o Problems (error_log):
[notice] Apache/1.3.26 (Unix) mod_perl/1.27 PHP/4.1.2 configured --
resuming normal operations

I also put the stuff in the httpd.conf ( <Files..., AllowOverride
etc.)
Can anyone Help me?

thanks
Chris

Make sure you do exactly as it says at
   http://www.apache-asp.org/install.html#Quick%20Start

Also, make sure to restart your web server after changing
its configuration. The trick is to get the .htaccess to
start working for your examples.

Joel,
the sample .htaccess is already in this directory.

Chris,
have you put in the .htaccess file? There should be an example included with
the ASP installation - if not its on the website.
