However, this violates the invariant that the domain socket should never be closed when it is being managed by the {{DomainSocketWatcher}}. Instead, we should call {{shutdown}} on the {{DomainSocket}}. When this bug hits, it terminates the {{DomainSocketWatcher}} thread.
