[CANCEL][VOTE] Release Apache Celeborn 0.7.0-rc1 and [VOTE] Release Apache Celeborn 0.7.0-rc2
Hello, Celeborn community,
I would like to cancel the vote for Apache Celeborn 0.7.0-rc1 and
start a new vote for Apache Celeborn 0.7.0-rc2.
During the rc1 vote period, two issues were identified and fixed:
- CELEBORN-2399 (PR #3777): HA worker heartbeat using stateStartTime
instead of actual time, causing healthy workers to be falsely marked
lost. Fixed by restoring getTime().
- CELEBORN-2401 (PR #3779): Flipped the default of
celeborn.client.spark.fetch.cleanFailedShuffle from false to true,
based on the dev@ discussion. This reclaims stale shuffle data from
FetchFailed retried stages and prevents disk pressure on shared clusters.
Both fixes have been merged into branch-0.7 and are included in rc2.
This is a call for a vote to release Apache Celeborn
0.7.0-rc2
The git tag to be voted upon:
https://github.com/apache/celeborn/releases/tag/v0.7.0-rc2
Source and binary artifacts can be found at:
https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist/dev/celeborn/v0.7.0-rc2/
The git commit hash:
90d79ff96ed26d3ce9ccac0b0d4f653601d73c23
The changes since the previous RC (rc1):
https://github.com/apache/celeborn/compare/v0.7.0-rc1...v0.7.0-rc2
The staging repo:
https://repository.apache.org/content/repositories/orgapacheceleborn-1137
The fingerprint of the PGP key release artifacts is signed with:
34D5A9C7996B94968C0C2626208CE878499FD25A
My public key to verify signatures can be found in:
https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist/release/celeborn/KEYS
The vote will be open for at least 72 hours or until the necessary
number of votes are reached.
Please vote accordingly:
[ ] +1 approve
[ ] +0 no opinion
[ ] -1 disapprove (and the reason)
