[users@httpd] Apache / Oracle / PHP problems

Can anyone help?

We have a PHP site that connects to Oracle using unix-odbc /
oracle-odbc-driver (ex of Easysoft)

We are finding that connections to the database are not closed when the
odbc_close is sent. PHP thinks the connection is closed, but the oracle
process remains. However when apache is restarted the oracle connections
are all terminated correctly. It is of course not practical to keep
restarting apache, can anyone suggest a solution?

OS : Redhat 7.3
PHP : 4.1.2
Apache : 1.3.27
Oracle : 8.1.7
oracle-odbc : 0.51

Thanks for your help,

Neil.

This is likely an issue with PHP. We had similar problems a while ago, but
with MySQL connections.

Upgrade PHP. I think this issue was resolved with version 4.3.1.
