Hi Chris

Thank you for the reply. The resource you have given [1] me seems to be not
working properly. Is it a presentation file? I tried it using Libreoffice
impress but it gave an input output error.

Hello DImuthu

"fodp" files are Libre/OpenOffice.org presentation files in flat XML 
instead than zipped XML. This format is useful for commits on 
versionning tools like SVN, since it allows Subversion to computes diff 
between various versions of that files (this is usually not possible 
with ordinary "odp" files).
