hefty arguments

Steve, Pete, others,

recent discussion seems to be disintegrating into mudslinging
competitions. There's insults, reference to jakarta rules that only
exist because some projects might mess up really badly, etc etc.

And why? The difference between extending a marker interface or not. The
difference some trivial 99% internal changes to 3 or so phoenix classes
could make.

Sigh.

Maybe it is smart for y'all to take a break, maybe a week or so, from
actually working on avalon. Cool down a bit, put things in a bigger
picture.

The road you're taking us on now is hurting this project, and the
consolidation effort Paul Hammant is trying to make will apparantly lead
to nothing.

If the recent changes leading to this hefty discussion in reality are
not as trivial as it seems, I suggest they're made on a branch.
Otherwise, just drop all the -1s already.

best regards,

Leo Simons
