   @noahprince22 Some things I didn't follow:
   1. Are the lazily loaded segments ever naturally unloaded? Or does that only happen if server gets restarted?
   2. Is there a way to configure which segments are pre-loaded and which should be lazily loaded (time based for instance)? Or is this more of an all or nothing approach? 
   3. Will this feature work with the tiered storage/segment relocation features (design doc was shared in earlier comments by @mcvsubbu  and @yupeng9) ? I think it will work as long as the storageType for the tiers is pinot servers. But what happen when we implement say S3 as a storageType for the relocation?
