           Summary: mod_ssl doesn't support HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR
           Product: Apache httpd-2.0
           Version: 2.0.52
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: mod_ssl
        AssignedTo: bugs@httpd.apache.org
        ReportedBy: xhemjl@tlen.pl

This is very annoying

My site uses mod_ssl but when a user uses proxies (eg. squid) - I cannot figure
out its real IP address

REMOTE_ADDR points to last proxy (I tested it on chain of 2 poxies),
and HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR is unset

so the user can do everything on my site without being noticed - all will go on
account of the last squid proxy

best regards
Lukasz Budnik
