Summary: htcacheclean doesn't work
Product: Apache httpd-2
Version: 2.2.2
Platform: Sun
OS/Version: Solaris
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: support
AssignedTo: bugs@httpd.apache.org
ReportedBy: kaplan@ma.tum.de
I just compiled Apache/2.2.2 and it runs fine. But when I try to run
htcacheclean it only shows the help screen
htcacheclean -- program for cleaning the disk cache.
Usage: htcacheclean [-Dvtrn] -pPATH -lLIMIT
htcacheclean [-nti] -dINTERVAL -pPATH -lLIMIT
and so on without doing anything. I tried
./htcacheclean -d15 -p/home/www/ProxyCache
./htcacheclean -tn -p/home/www/ProxyCache
./htcacheclean -Dtn -p"/home/www/ProxyCache"
and more ...
All other support programs are running fine.

You forgot to specify the parameter -l which is mandatory.

Thanks a lot. That does the trick.
It should be documented in the man page that this
parameter is mandatory. In my opinion the parameter
-t would for example make sense without -l.
