Eclipse-Buckminster

Hi all,

Just noticed a new project proposal at Eclipse wich, at first glance, looks a lot like Maven:

Competition is good ofcource, but as a 'customer' I was wondering if there are any 'official' standardization efforts 
going on regarding project descriptors, dependency definitions, repository information, etc. to which these tools can 
adhere?
