> Diagrams would go a long way for showing lifecycle.  This is partly prompted by NIFI-1344.  What I envision are state-transition like diagrams for our various components showing how they move from state-to-state and the various methods that are invoked along the edges.  Our textual descriptions are quite thorough, but can be hard to visualize how they all relate to each other from a big picture perspective.
