   In https://github.com/apache/netbeans/pull/5802, I was updating the source level, because the fix didn't work for me in almost all cases due to mismatching source levels, and that's what is causing the trouble there. So, to me personally, this fixes the smaller issue (and only for Maven), while all the bigger ones (mismatching source levels, the fact that the fix has several copies for various projects, which is unmaintainable, and does not work in VS Code) remain. So, up to you I guess.
