Creating a Lead

Hi When I create a lead and I enter customer First Name and Last name and
then enter the compnay name in party group it creates two party. One for
name and one for party group. Why is it like this? this is unnecessary
creating party id for nothing. And its very confusing also... can any one
can fix this problem.
