Apache 2.0.39 and RedHat 7.3?
I just did a fresh install of RedHat 7.3 on an Intel
platform box.
I then did a build and install of Apache 2.0.39 using the
following configure statement:
./configure --prefix=/usr/local/apache --with-mpm=worker \
--enable-mods-shared="headers usertrack status"
No errors.
Make produces no errors.
'/usr/local/apache/bin/apachectl configtest' returns
"Syntax OK"
When I try to start the httpd daemon, I get no errors. But
it doesn't start.
It creates the error log file, but it's empty. There is
nothing in /var/log/messages.
When I run the httpd program in gdb, it says "Program
exited normally."
Frankly I am stumped. I previously compiled and ran 2.0.39
on the same box with RedHat 7.2 and it ran fine.
Is there something with RedHat 7.3 that causes problems with
Apache 2.0.39?
