Change portlet's title dynamically

Hello,
I need to change the title of a portlet instance dynamically.
That is, if a specific parameter is present, the title should read something else.
Is this possible?
I tried changing the title in an Action object but nothing happened. :( Is it too late when doPerform is executed?
