RE: java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out: connect

Hi ,

I tried installing the latest version of Jmeter viz. 2.7 and got the below error.
There doesn't seems to be problem with the JAVA_HOME or classpath...neither does it look like certificate issue with browser.

Not sure though if there is any problem with the firewall behind that is causing this exception... did someone faced similar issue...?

Error in browser :

java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out: connect
        at java.net.PlainSocketImpl.socketConnect(Native Method)
        at java.net.PlainSocketImpl.doConnect(Unknown Source)
        at java.net.PlainSocketImpl.connectToAddress(Unknown Source)
        at java.net.PlainSocketImpl.connect(Unknown Source)
        at java.net.SocksSocketImpl.connect(Unknown Source)

Regards
Kumar
