Despite of these IIS settings processModel.idleTimeout = 0 and recycling.periodicRestart.time = 0, we have the same issue (Azure, IIS 7.5, ADONetAppender, separate log4net.config to web.config). Our temporary solution is pinging the page every N minutes.
