[jira] [Commented] (LENS-123) Ability to load different instances of same driver class

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LENS-123?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=14734338#comment-14734338 ]

Rajat Khandelwal commented on LENS-123:
---------------------------------------

in LENS-486, the conf file has been made parsable by adding java code.

Doing the same thing for this will be limiting. The approach you posted earlier looks better.

With that, I hope we can do away with repeated properties of the form lens.driver.hive.*

I hope we can keep the hadoop integration intact. e.g. for one of the hive drivers we might want to set a mapred property to be passed to the jobs.

> Currently we are loading only one driver instance per class. We should be able to load multiple different instances of a driver class.
> For example, There can be multiple HiveDrivers talking to different HiveServers sitting on each colo. Or different JDBCDrivers talking to different dbs.
