[Axis2] 2 day hackathon on Axis2 at WSO2
Hi folks,
We are having a 2 day hackathon starting today. We will be going through the
JIRAs & also will be running FindBugs on the code base and making
improvements. We will also add/fix the JavaDocs wherever applicable.
Everybody is invited to join in.

Sure, will do. This was something we decided to do suddenly, before we go on
vacation this week. Hopefully, this will be the jump start that the Axis2
project needed.

Absolutely!
We are mainly focusing on bug fixing. So no major decisions would be
involved at architecture level at all.
Anyway we are also on the IRC

I think a "hackathon" is pretty much when a bunch of people decide to get
together and work on a project, so this would certainly seem to qualify. :)
As mentioned on Twitter, I would request that you guys be Good Apache
Citizens and a) invite everyone to the IRC channel if you're hanging there,
b) don't make any major decisions without opening a discussion on the mailing
list, and c) have fun. :) Looking forward to the results!

And we have to keep on doing this regularly.
I found that Rampart had quite a bunch of quality patches provided, that we
had not applied for a long time. I am thankful to all those who provided the
patches as well as their patience in terms of waiting this long to get them
applied to source tree. I think we should nominate all those active patch
contributors to be committers.

The two day hackathon has been a great success. We have been able to resolve
about 180 issues in Axis2 & Rampart. I would like to thank everybody who
motivated us & contributed towards this.
