Important .ASPXAUTH cookie missing from Jmeter

Hi,

Jmeter HTTP Cookie Manager is missing a very important ASP cookie called:
.ASPXAUTH.

Can anyone suggest any workaround or even a fix for that issue ?

Thank you for your time.

Hi

>That cookie's place is with in the request headers of course, and it looks
like that:
No you need to look at requests before that. Browser (or Jmeter) makes the
initial request (login operation I guess) and the server should respond
with a Set-Cookie which sets this cookie - Did you see that in JMeter (and
compare it to fiddler)? - Its this response that you need to see first -If
that looks correct Then the Browser (or JMeter) will make the next request
and if the URL/domain/protocol matches then the Browser(and Jmeter) should
send the cookie across - which is what you included.
Or do you have a publically accessible URL that can be used ? I currently
do not have access to any IIS server

Re: Important .ASPXAUTH cookie missing from Jmeter

Posted by Deepak Shetty <sh...@gmail.com>.
Hi
it appears this is not a standard cookie
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff635510.aspx
It appears you will have to parse the response and manually add a cookie
into CookieManager.

Does this only work in Internet explorer ?

Re: Important .ASPXAUTH cookie missing from Jmeter

Posted by Shay Ginsbourg <sg...@gmail.com>.
Hi Deepak,

Thank you for your reply.

The problem that we're constantly seeing is that a specific cookie (a very
important one) is not present inside the 'Jmeter Cookie Manager', while
it's clearly seen in any browser or in other tools, e.g. 'FIDDLER 4'.

That cookie's place is with in the request headers of course, and it looks
like that:

.ASPXAUTH=95173B6CEC5DA0A4F87C0986CE99D703DEAF85C88926FC6D8C2972D6EB2EB540DEE055FBD159A4804D2E42FE7BD12F6EBDA5CF3994E2370A4FC394254E9B6FAD7E8583F167DC12B89BB7895AB6EA9519DEF03357FEDC4DFC974324581F9421A1FCCDDDCFC2B91B1E78673AAD0C428F507CB1AC18A0BA9F2D8C6F0AEBB6150DEEA0971496

Unfortunately, because the 'Jmeter Cookie Manager' is missing that cookie,
we may not correctly proceed running the script due to consequent
errors, e.g. lack of authentication and resulting low permissions.

While checking the Jmeter log file, we've found one warning, which may or
may not be relevant:

project.

Hi
what do you mean by "missing" ? What are the headers in the response that
the server is using to set the cookie ? And what is the URL that you are
requesting where I assume this cookie is not being sent by Jmeter (Also
anything in jmeter.log?)
