adding bin dir to binary distro

I have just downloaded the binary version of XIndice (war file) and
was lokking for the bin directory in order to import some data, but couldn't
find the bin directory.

I have found it now within the src distro. But wouldn't it make sense
to include the bin directory within the bin distro such that one can import
data?

Thanks

Michi

I was refering to after the war file has been extracted ;-)

It was kind of rethorical question, because of sentence below: :-)

Yes, WEB-INF/xindice.[sh|bat]
IIRC, I tested xindice.bat, and xindice.sh under cygwin.

yes

to import data via the command line

I guess you mean xindice.sh resp. xindice.bat , right?

Thanks

There is no binary dist of xindice. I'll assume you meant war dist. What
purpose would bin/ directory serve in the war dist? No script will be
able to run anyway, as all the libraries are packed into a war file.

But once you deploy this war file, you can access tools residing in
<webapps>/xindice/WEB-INF directory.
