Data validation?

Hi all!

Please excuse me for asking again, but I can't find any definitive
answer to this in the documentation and via Google:

If POI doesn't provide that functionality, I'll have to look for
alternatives, so I'd greatly appreciate if somebody could enlighten me
on that issue.
