Silencing ArtifactResolver

Hello,

Is there any way I can silence the ArtifactResolver? It often gives the 
"Downloading: ..." and "url = ..." printouts for every attempt at
downloading an artifact.

Also is there a way to silence the exception stacetraces in debug mode?
