[jira] [Commented] (ACE-459) Add BundleSymbolicName and Version to AuditLog/FeedBack on BundleEvents

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/ACE-459?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13906911#comment-13906911 ]

Marcel Offermans commented on ACE-459:
--------------------------------------

I agree that it makes sense to display that information in the LogViewer.

As you already mention, the audit log does log the BSN and version of the bundle, but only when it is installed. That was done on purpose, because after that event, BSN and version cannot change anymore, so we did not want to keep wasting bytes and just identify the installed bundle by its ID. That being said, I would rather see a solution where the BSN and version are looked up in the viewer, instead of adding them to each event.

Does that make sense?

> The LogViewer within the Target dialog on the ACE server only shows the id of the bundles (except directly during installation).
> It would be very helpful to have the BSN and version also there in case of problem diagnostics etc.
