[jira] [Commented] (CLOUDSTACK-665) Health monitoring for HAProxy load balanced instances

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CLOUDSTACK-665?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=14175084#comment-14175084 ]

Douglas Land commented on CLOUDSTACK-665:
-----------------------------------------

We're using the built-in load-balancer in cloudstack and it's quite important to support healthchecks. I'm surprised this hasn't been bumped up in priority. I read the previous ticket and I think most people would be happy with any (http/tcp) checks versus no functionality, and not worrying about an extensive model to support other check types. If this isn't on the roadmap for 4.2 when is it planned for? We're needing to use an external haproxy instance right now and completely bypassing the built-in LB since it's kind of a deal-breaker to not support check/removal of backend systems.
