runConfigure should look more extensively for getopt and fail more intelligently
Summary: runConfigure should look more extensively for getopt and
fail more intelligently
Product: Xerces-C++
Version: 2.0.0
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: Minor
Priority: Other
Component: Build
AssignedTo: xerces-c-dev@xml.apache.org
ReportedBy: tfo@netcentral.com
The runConfigure shipped with Xerces C++ 2.0.0-3 looks for /usr/bin/getopt. My
system (a Slackware 9.0 distro) has /bin/getopt.
It took me a while to figure this out, though, since it doesn't fail
intelligently when it can't find /usr/bin/getopt. Instead, it prints out the
generic usage.
