[DISCUSS] Maintenance 4.0.x branch and switching master to 4.1-SNAPSHOT
As the subject says, I'd like to create a 4.0.x branch for maintenance and
switch master to 4.1-SNAPSHOT.
Any objections ?

FYI, I setted the version to 4.1.0-SNAPSHOT on master and I'm creating
the corresponding Jenkins job (for karaf-4.0.x branch).

Yes, I plan to release 2.4.4 and 2.3.12 later today to include the last
fixes between going to "not active".

Do you plan to do do the last release for 2.4.x or you expect no more releases from this branch? I can see some changes done since July on this branch.

2.3.x and 2.4.x go into "non active" mode: it means that we don't focus
on it anymore.
3.0.x is in maintenance mode.
4.0.x and 4.1.x are active.

Btw. what are the plans for the maintenance of the older versions?
We currently have 2.3.x, 2.4.x, 3.0.x and 4.0.x.
Do we plan to discontinue any of these when 4.1.x is released?
